What new movies are coming soon in April of 2026? Here is a short list of a few films I am looking forward to. This doesn’t mean that I will get to see them all or that I will write about them. Just listing the ones that look interesting to me. You can also do what I do and visit IMDb to find out more info on each of these films. But then you also need to go back to my homepage here to read about all the movies that have already been released.
‘You, Me & Tuscany’ – Apr. 10th
Ok, this isn’t my normal sort of movie. Not that I’m against a love story in general, but after seeing the trailer, it just didn’t excite me. However, this is a perfect movie to go see for a date night with the wife. So, when I watched it, I did have that in my mind… and that’s why it’s on this list.
‘Lee Cronin’s The Mummy’ – Apr. 17th
There has been a rush of “monster movies” coming out recently with both Frankenstein and Dracula getting their time to shine. Now, it’s time for the Mummy with this release. I missed “Dracula” last month, but “Frankenstein” that came out on Netflix last year was phenomenal. Not sure which direction this is going to go, but I have really liked some of the Mummy films in the past, so my hopes are up for this.
‘Normal’ – Apr. 17th
Those that know me know how much I love Bob Odenkirk. Even though this seems to have a similar story to the “Nobody” films, I am amped to see him star in another action flick. Plus he stars alongside Henry Winkler and Lena Headey, so that should be fun. Even though I knew nothing about this just a few weeks ago, I come into April with this being my Coming Soon pick of the month.
‘Lorne’ – Apr. 17th
This movie comes right on the heels of the 50th Anniversary of “Saturday Night Live” and all of the special documentaries that came out on Peacock. A documentary about Lorne Michaels, the legend behind all of the stars that emerged from the late-night juggernaut. From what I can tell, there are lots of interviews from past cast members, so this should be entertaining either way.
‘Mother Mary’ – Apr. 17th
I’m still not sure 100% what this is about, but it’s got me intrigued. Is Anne Hathaway de-aging? Here she plays what appears to be a pop superstar of some sort. But, is this also a horror movie of some sort? Also, what is it about April 17th? Why is there so many movies coming out the same day?
‘Michael’ – Apr. 22nd
Anymore, it seems like once a year, we get a music biopic about a big name artist. This year it’s Michael Jackson’s turn. The aptly named “Michael” stars Jaafar Jackson as Jackson himself. Normally, these sorts of movies are pretty entertaining and you get plenty of music to go along with them, so any film about the King of Pop is sure to be packed full of them as well. Also, it’s not on April 17th, so that’s a plus.
That’s it for the movies that I’m looking forward to this April. Come back every month to see what else is Coming Soon.
What are you looking forward to this month?
